The Grande Prairie Volunteer Services Bureau is happy to offer our newest training workshop series HR Recipes for Success. These 10 practical HR focused Workshops are designed specifically for supervisors, managers and HR professionals who are new to managing staff or could just use a bit more training around day-to-day HR functions, conflict management, recruitment, employee coaching, employee discipline, policy development, and much more!

Workshops are 90 minutes every month (excluding December), of practical learning, valuable networking and opportunities to ask questions of a prominent non-profit Human Resources leader. Participants will walk away with tips, tools and resources that you can use, the moment you get back to work!  Come learn how to handle difficult situations, minimize organizational risks, and create solid strategic plans for recruitment and much more.

Cost per Workshop:

GPVSB Members - $75/person

Non-GPVSB Members - $125/person

Cost for Complete Series:

GPVSB Members - $600/person

Non-GPVSB Members - $1100/person

PLUS you'll receive, as a gift from us to you, an HR Recipes for Success box to be filled with cards from each session that you attend, offering tips and resources that you can reference at a later time. 2 Workshops are available to Members using our Gold Star Program contact us for details. For those people who register just for Gold Star sessions - you'll only receive the content cards for the session you attend.

Sessions are instructed by Lloyd Fischer, RPR, Q. Med, Director of Human Resources

Lloyd has worked throughout Ontario & Alberta with several companies and social services agencies developing recruitment and retention programs and helping organizations to create solid strategic plans for continued organizational growth.Lloyd received certification in Mediation and Dispute Resolution and currently holds the Q. Med designation in Canada and is currently a Commissioner for Oaths for the Province of Alberta. Previous to working with his current agency, he worked for several not-for-profit organizations, and at Radio and Television stations as an on-air personality in both Ontario and Alberta. Lloyd has completed his certificate in Not-For-Profit Leadership, Journalism and Communications, and has graduated from the University of Alberta - School of Business in the Human Resources Executive Program and is a proud graduate of Mount Royal University's Managing Conflict program. He is a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Canada (HRPA), the Alternate Dispute Resolution Institute of Alberta (ADRIA), the Association of Professional Recruiters of Canada (APRC) and, he is a member of the Alberta Disability Workers Association (ADWA). Lloyd is also a certified instructor for “Crucial Conversations” and is a founding member of the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie After Five.
