Who We Are:
Frontier College is a national non-profit literacy organization that was founded in 1899 and accredited under the Imagine Canada Standards program. We believe literacy is a right, and that every place can be a learning place. Our vision is a Canada in which everyone has the literacy skills they need to achieve their goals at school, at work, and in life. Our mission is to provide local literacy support programs that change lives. Frontier College relies on volunteers for success in everything we do.

Overview of the Program:
The purpose of the Summer Reading Tent program is to promote a love of reading during the summer months in a fun and engaging way! We will be running outdoor Reading Tents in partnership with community organizations and festivals. These tents run primarily on weekdays for 2 to 3 hours but there may be 1-2 weekend opportunities. We ask that volunteers commit to at least three tents over the summer, but dates are very flexible.
