Pace Community Support, Sexual Assault & Trauma Centre

Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide a confident, caring approach to helping people in crisis.
Vision Statement: We envision healthy individuals and families within healthy, supportive communities.

Founded in 1981, Pace Community Support, Sexual Assault, and Trauma Centre is the primary sexual violence resource, education and support centre in the Northwest Alberta, having a main office in Grande Prairie and satellite offices in Peace River, Valleyview, High Prairie & High Level. The agency provides over 30 programs and services for those impacted by sexual assault, sexual abuse, crisis, and trauma.

United Way Alberta Northwest

Mission Statement: Empower everyone to improve lives and build strong communities.
Vision Statement: Everyone in every community has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Founded in 1974 the local United Way serves 19% of Alberta, with their main office in Grande Prairie they offer support to the area from Grande Cache to the NWT border and from Slave Lake to the BC border. United Way ABNW Executive Director Jamie Craig says her organization demonstrates trust, integrity, respect, inclusivity and transparency.  They also endorse innovation, partnerships and collective action all while providing funding to non-profits who serve in our communities. This year the United Way ABNW has supported 28 organizations and 30 programs. 25 of which are located in Grande Prairie.
