January 28, 2015-Glenn Bielech

Suicide Prevention Resource Centre would like to nominate Glenn Bielech as the volunteer of the week. Glenn has been an active Facilitator for the Men at Risk Program and has raised the profile of Men at Risk through his employer Husky Energy. As a Men at Risk Facilitator, Glenn has worked with SPRC staff to speak to groups of men in trades and industry and has reached hundreds through his own story. He has a strong commitment to keeping the conversation going to support people with a mental health problem.  We are pleased to have Glenn on the Suicide Prevention Resource Centre team. Thank you Glenn!


January 27, 2015-Leah Houchin

Meals on Wheels nominates Leah Houchin as the volunteers of the week. The Wednesday delivery girl is ever so sweet, true words given by an appreciative Meals on Wheels client.  Thank you Leah for your time and dedication to the Meals on Wheels Program bringing hot nutritious meals to our client’s door, it is appreciated by all who are lucky enough to be on your route!

January 23, 2015-Mandy Hartman

Meals on Wheels nominates Mandy Hartman as the volunteers of the week. In a busy world it is always nice to see someone slow down for a moment to volunteer! Mandy is one of those wonderful people that has taken time out of her busy schedule and shares a day every week to deliver a hot nutritious meal and a moment of kindness to the clients on Meals on Wheels.  Thank you for your time shared Mandy and for your continued dedication to the Meals on Wheels Program!


January 26, 2015-Wade Mayer

PARDS would like to nominate Wade as volunteer of the week. Wade has been volunteering picking up fuel for our equipment. The winter months are super busy and we really appreciate the time he takes out of his day keeping our fuel stocked , even when its -40 outside ! Thank you very much Wade. 

January 22, 2015- Bruce MacArthur

Grande Prairie & District Victim Services Unit would like to nominate Bruce MacArthur as the volunteer of the week. Thank you to Bruce for being a volunteer with Victim Services.  Bruce has been instrumental in constructing and decorating, the VSU vehicles used in the 4 (four) parades we participated in this year.  Bruce can also be counted on to lend a hand to set up and take down the VSU booths for our Public Events.   We thank you Bruce, for everything you do for Victim Services. We appreciate you so very much!
