This has helped our organization to raise much needed money for the operations of the Shelter. He has been doing this for the past several years for the Shelter. Volunteering to make the crafts for the shelter is doing a couple of great things. 1) He is helping to raise money for the Shelter to keep the doors open for homeless Elders that live here, and 2) He is helping the community by displaying his Indigenous artwork proudly is a part of Reconciliation and we know that is a huge part of moving forward for indigenous people. He spends hours and hours making beautiful leather crafting. He donates all of his money made from crafts to the homeless shelter. She was so happy because she even sold some freezies to the policemen in the police car and they went back twice. She sold them for 10 cents each.
