Grande Prairie Minor Baseball Association nominates Maryanne Keddie for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! Lyneah Watons-Grusie wrote ‘I would like to recognize Maryanne’s dedication to the sport of baseball. The time she puts in behind the scenes to help our organization function efficiently can not be measured. Her constant dedication goes unseen by most of the players and their families, but without her the light would literally go out. It is thanks to these silent volunteers that organizations like ours continue, we need more people like Maryanne to step up and help in our community.

Grande Prairie Palliative Care Society nominates Marianne Hartman for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Marianne refuses to be put on payroll because she loves to volunteer her time to companioning clients. She touches the lives of so many people and gives them much-needed support in the most difficult times. We truly see and appreciate the impact she has in our community.’

Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers nominates Christian Dela Pena for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Christian started volunteering with us at the end of November 2021. He has been an integral in so many of our events throughout the year. He was patient and understanding with the students in our spring and summer camps and was the ultimate balloon master while we prepared decorations for Canada day. He is always wiling to help us with a big smile. Thank you Christian!’

Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers nominates Iman Bateni for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Iman started volunteering with us at the beginning of May 2022 as an English Conversation Club Facilitator and we are so grateful to have him on our team. Although he lives in Edmonton he still helps to facilitate the club remotely! He always comes prepared for the sessions and has an amazing ability to make all the participants feel comfortable during the session and always ensure that everyone has a chance to talk.
